FIRE

What is FIRE?

FIRE stands for "Financial Independence, Retire Early." It is a financial and lifestyle movement in which individuals aim to achieve financial independence at a relatively young age, allowing them to retire from traditional employment and have the freedom to pursue their passions, interests, and personal goals. The key components of FIRE are:

Financial Independence: Achieving a state where you have enough savings, investments, and passive income to cover your living expenses without relying on traditional employment income.

Retire Early: While "retire" is part of the acronym, it doesn't necessarily mean stopping all work. Instead, it signifies the ability to choose when, how, and if you work, rather than being obligated to work for financial reasons.

The FIRE movement often involves aggressive savings, smart investing, and frugal living to reach financial independence as quickly as possible. It emphasizes financial literacy, intentional spending, and careful planning to create a life that aligns with one's values and goals. FIRE enthusiasts aim to gain control over their finances, reduce financial stress, and achieve greater freedom and flexibility in their lives.
